Get To Know Kosmo Village
When was Kosmo Village founded? How did it start?
Kosmo Village was built by John Smook in the early 1960s. He had 6 kids and camping was a way that our family could afford to go on vacations. Kosmo is still operated by the family today.
The most popular activity is the Village Disc Golf course. The rocket in the playground comes in with a close second.
Where is Kosmo Village located? What are some other attractions in the area worth checking out?
Kosmo is on highway 1 between Richmond, VA and Ashland, VA. We use exit 89 on interstate 95.
We are near many Civil War sites, Kings Dominion amusement park, Maymont Park, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Hollywood Cemetery, St John’s Church where Patrick Henry gave his liberty or death speech, Maggie Walker Historic Site, Richmond International Raceway, Three Lake Park and Aquarium, the James River, the Canal Walk and Tredegar Iron Works.
Our sites are open and clean with full hookups. Most of our sites are pull through with room for vehicles being towed. We do not have restrooms so we cannot take tent campers.
