What We’re Listening To This Month

We play music all day at the 50 Campfires office, and it’s always a nice blend of old and new. This week I’ve been digging back into Ray LaMontagne and it’s been delicious. I saw him in concert a few years back and it was fantastic. Another coworker turned me on to Cage the Elephant recently – great stuff. Sheryl Crow is back in the mix – specifically her second album. I’ve always been a fan of the first two. Plenty of simple heartfelt tracks on them both. Gun In My Hand by Dorothy is a good foot stomper. If you haven’t heard The Punch Brothers cover Kid A, you’re in for a treat. Then there’s Rope and Summit by Junip. Another concert that blew my mind. Jose Gonzalez was spot on all night. Right Time by Nikki Lane is great twangy tune that I love, and last but not least – Tony Joe White. I started listening to him after seeing him on Sonic Highways. He’s the real deal. I hope you enjoy it.
