Overview: NANO Spikes is a product that is developed more for urban use, pavement, sidewalks, icy conditions where you’re on a hard surface. Icy pack trails also work pretty well, but really it’s more for roads and sidewalks. You can see these are a tungsten carbide insert which are extremely durable. They hold up to hundreds of miles of wear.
There are two types of TPU here, one’s more dense than the other one. So it allows this to flex like the sole of a shoe and also give you the durability so that it doesn’t press into your foot. I’m going to show you the other side of it here on this one, you can see a better view from the top. This red is a higher density than the black so it allows that to push those traction bits up into the shoe and give you lots of comfort. At the same time be very flexible and durable on the bottom.
So six spikes on the front. Four spikes on the back. The upper band, similar to the micro spikes that we’re launching now, has this reinforced eyelet. It’s a little easier to see on this one because there’s a red and black. And that red is a harder TPU integrated into the elastomer band. Micro spikes are just excellent for running and cruising around the city. That is NANO Spikes and we’ll have that in five sizes next year.
