Total time:
Serves: 6
  • 1 can buttermilk biscuits, refrigerated
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Plain Glaze (optional):
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. On a cutting board, separate the biscuits and use the vegetable oil cap to cut a hole in the biscuit.
  2. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a pan and add 2-3 biscuits. Fry the biscuits in the oil, flipping them over with tongs when they are golden-brown. Once the doughnuts are done frying, put them on a paper towel or plate.
  3. Put the sugar and cinnamon in a paper bag and add the doughnuts. Shake well and enjoy!
  4. If you want to make the glaze, put the confectioners' sugar and salt in a bowl. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth. Then just dip each doughnut in the glaze and enjoy!
