Separate the egg whites and save them for a protein packed omelet in the morning. Beat the 12 yolks until they reach medium consistency.
Mix everything else together and slowly whisk the eggs in.
Now comes the hard part - aging it. Eggnog gets more and more delicious the longer it sits. If you can, let it mature in the fridge for a week or two. True eggnog connoisseurs would age it for a full year, but we both know you're not waiting that long. After two weeks it will basically be a magical protein shake, and your guests will realize that they actually love eggnog.
