Primitive campsites are available to all guests for a fee of $13 per night. Their primitive campsites are cleared sites that have fire pits. There is a community water spigot as well as portable toilets. The park does not offer electrical hookups at this time. The park also features a backcountry campground for individuals who want to camp with a more rustic scenery.

The camping at Cathedral Caverns State Park is ideal for individuals who enjoy primitive camping over modern camping. If you are someone who does not like sharing a water spigot, using portable toilets, or living without electricity you are not going to enjoy camping here. However, the camping is not really what brings most people to the Cathedral Caverns State Park. People come to this park to go gem mining and to explore the caverns. The park does have a gift shop for individuals to purchase keepsakes to remember their trip when they leave.

Day Areas: 7AM to sundown
Cathedral Caverns Gem Mining Hours: 9AM to 6PM
Cavern Tours:
September 1-March 14 – Daily, every 2 hours starting at 10:00 a.m. with the last tour starting at 4:00 p.m.
March 15-August 31 – Daily, every hour beginning at 10:15 a.m. with the last tour starting at 4:00 p.m.

Campsite: $13 per night

Caverns Tour Fees:
Adults: $15.00
Children 5 – 11 years of age: $6.00
Children under 4 years of age: FREE with parent or guardian
Schools and Pre-School Groups: Students – $6.00, Chaperons – $10.00
Teachers: FREE with school group
Groups of 25 or more: $10 per person with reservation

The cost of a bag of mining dirt: $6.00 plus tax
