When was Goose Pond Colony founded? How did it start?
Goose Pond Colony was founded in 1968 as a private business. In 1970 The Tennessee Valley Authority deeded it to The City of Scottsboro.
What are the most popular activities in the resort?
There are many activities for visitors at Goose Pond Colony. It is located right on the large Guntersville Lake so fishing and boating are very popular. We also have a great trail system and people enjoy riding bikes or the walking trail.
Where is Goose Pond Colony located? What some of the other attractions in the area worth checking out?
Goose Pond Colony is located in Scottsboro,Alabama. There are many fun things to do around the area including Unclaimed Baggage Center a store full of great treasures, Cathedral Caverns State Park is an excellent day trip to visit the caverns. The Space and Rocket Center has a great museum and is fun for the whole family.

We have campsites that are located together for groups. We do not have a designated area.
How many campsites are at Goose Pond? What type of campsites are they? Open or secluded?
We have 121 campsites with hook ups and a large primitive area without hook ups. Some are open sites and others are secluded.
