If you are not familiar with Grubs Boots, you really should be. They make great boots for a lot of different outdoor applications. We have been wearing the Grubs Boots Treeline and have been very impressed with how warm they truly are, along with the benefits of being waterproof. There was a bit of a learning curve at first with our misconception of what “rubber” boots are. We used to have those really cheap green boots that your socks fell down in and your feet got cold, so we immediately thought these boots would be similar. Boy, were we wrong.
Grubs Boots are meant for cold conditions, like -20 below type conditions. Where we live it actually gets down to those temperatures and we were able to test the boots out. The Grubs Boots Treeline did an amazing job, our feet were never cold, we did quite a bit of winter hiking in them and found it to be comfortable, dry and extremely warm.
There are many reasons for why the boots keep your feet toasty, most of which we explain in the video below. The tread is one incredible on the boot, it is aggressive for a heavy duty boot. With a boot that goes nearly to your knee it needs to be easy to take off, which the Grubs Boots are. Just flip the top part down and slide your foot in. It’s that simple. Overall, the Grubs Boots performed extremely well, way beyond our expectations.
