The Solo Stove Campfire and 2 Pot Set just may change the way you look at packing and preparing for a camping trip. Not just for backpacking the Solo Stove Campfire is large enough to use car camping but nests away in a small carry bag. No more oddly shaped camp stove taking up precious space in the car.

Appearance: All of the Solo Stove products are made of stainless steel giving them that sleek and sexy look. Instantly you can see that this is not a large package. The 2 pots and the stove nest together and slide in to a carry sack that is about as big as a basketball. The set comes with a 3L and a 1.5 liter pot. They are definitely big enough to make food for about 4 people. The fold out handles on the pots make them easy to remove from the stove. The Solo Stove campfire is set up a lot like the original stove (Solo Stove Pot 900) with the same design and overall performance. Just on a bigger surface.

Functionality: As with the smaller Solo Stove, the campfire is simple to use and very effective. There is no fuel needed to get and keep a fire going – twigs will do the trick. It’s a simple gasification process that works wonders.. There are air intake holes on the bottom of the stove which channels air to the bottom of the fire and at the same time, it shoots the warm air up between the walls of the stove. This burst runs through the firebox and out the smaller holes at the top of the stove causing a secondary combustion. In ordinary terms, this thing is super easy to get a raging fire for cooking going.

Ease Of Use: To use the Solo Stove Campfire and pot set, just take each piece out from its peaceful nest, flip the ring inside the Solo Stove over (this becomes your cooking surface) and start throwing twigs in the open slots to start the blaze. Both pots are very simplistic with fold out handles and rubber coated lift tabs. When your meal is completed and the stove is cool, just nest all three pieces together and throw in the carry bag for its next use.

Durability: The stove and pots are well made with 304 Stainless Steel so they should last years and make for a great cooking surface. It is made by using a one piece construction process. The outer shell of the Solo Stove is actually made of one solid piece, making it extra strong. The fact that the set nests together keeps it well protected and should help it stay functioning for a long time.

Weight: At just 2.2 pounds, the Solo Stove Campfire is a super light camp stove that can be used in a variety of situations. The pot sets come in at 24 ounces and 18 ounces respectfully and nest with the stove for travel. With the set being so light you really can use this for many applications from backpacking to your standard car camping. It may be slightly bulky for a long backpack in but it really is perfect for car camping – especially for those that love to save space.

Value: The Solo stove comes in at $169.98. This is comparable to other camp stoves on the market. For the size and portability it really is a great deal as you receive not only a camp stove but your pot set as well.
