The outdoors, water, and music form this amalgam of summertime fun. We love taking our music with us. Our office is constantly bombarded, in a good way, with music. Appearance: We love the look and size of this outdoor speaker. Unpacking the BoomBottle H2O, even the packaging is thought out and aesthetically pleasing. The size is awesome and comes with a clip to attach the speaker to a backpack, belt, climbing harness, whatever you want. The design is simplistic and with modern lines. It’s not overly “gadgety” looking like other portable speakers.
Functionality: Functionality of this speaker really sets it apart from others on the market. It’s size is perfect for traveling and even fits in a cupholder or drink carrier. The BoomBottle H2O, as you may have guessed, is completely waterproof. It’s rated to 1 meter for 30 minutes. So you won’t be taking it on a free dive, but you can safely listen to it in the pool or on a boat without worry of it getting wet. The best part, it floats. The H2O features a rechargeable lithium battery with up to 11 hours of playtime on a full charge. Hopefully you got a good playlist. With that impressive of a playtime, you don’t want to be frustrated with the sound quality. Don’t worry. We were impressed with the sound quality out of such a small unit. The 50 MM speaker cranks out impressive volume with great treble. You aren’t going to get the best deep, resonating bass at the highest volume but the high end is extremely crisp.
Ease of Use: When it comes to wireless technology, we are looking for something that pairs easily via bluetooth and is easy to setup. The boomBOTTLE H2O was a breeze to setup and get music playing. We have paired it with multiple devices and haven’t come upon a single issue. Turn on the unit, turn on your phone’s bluetooth, and you’re paired. Three buttons control everything from power to volume and we love the simplicity of the integrated music controls.
Value: With a price point of $99.99, you are getting a portable, waterproof, rugged outdoor speaker with great sound. The functionality of the H2O makes it a great value because you really can use it, easily, from putting it in your water bottle cage to laying in the pool.
